My only complaint is the first one I bought was a beautiful red that faded quickly to a rather unattractive red/pink/orange color. Oh, I suppose they would work well to keep squirrels away also. The trays stay so much cleaner and the seed doesn't mold, clump, or get gross. But they are awesome for keeping my birdseed dry!
